Kent is a softie for these - latex rubber animals - dragons, lizards, frogs, octopus, ladybirds, pink elephants, that have legs that shoot out when you squeeze them. So Kent, who is very soft mouthed gently mumbles whilst racing around the room, flings the toy in the air, and then pounces on the it - which squeals in alarm and mimics death throws with the legs all shooting out! That makes him laugh so much he has to take it around the room another 84 times!
Great also to teach dogs attention games. I cradle the ladybird in my hands so that Speck sees I have a toy, but not exactly what it is, as I squeeze it the legs pop out from around my fingers, convincing him it’s ALIVE! He will chase and fetch it reluctantly, but gets rather alarmed by its degree of animation and would rather pretend it is a sheep in my hands and have to put his mouth around it!
