A Go Further Training Course:

Chains and Sequences

starting 30 Sep 2026  ~ 6 weeks
Graphic Chains and Sequences

Planning, teaching and maintaining a chain or sequence of two, or even several, behaviours that occur in succession or simultaneously as a compound behaviour.

Do we build the elements forwards or backwards or in clusters?

How does each element impact on the following behaviour; can the dog change their arousal level into precision movement?

Does the anticipation of a reward point de-stabilise behaviours?

Practicing the single elements or the whole?

This course is going to look at the complexity of compound behaviours and good practice to mainatain their quality.

Stress-free learning though building duration using a chain of the same repeating behaviours.

A chain is a self-running series of behaviours (such as retrieve) and a sequence is a series of cued behaviours, (such as an agility course).
