Develop the key skills and build your future with all 5 courses: the season for going further.
Many of us wander into this world of training with no intention of staying for a lifetime. I just popped along with my Cavalier puppy back in the 1970s and I am still here.
It captures us and begins a journey to learn more and get better skilled. Dogs are such amazing learners inspiring us to go further for their benefit.
You can attend all FIVE courses and with Group enrolment and continue the learning from any of the courses through to 30 Nov, we all get wrapped up with life’s interruptions or simply want the extra time to consolidate our learning.
It is also great to progress with fellow travellers.
➤ Hand Choreography: dogs are watching and learning from our active hands all the time. Are we delivering rewards or giving affection, signals or cues. Are we clear? 15 Apr – 20 May
➤ Luring is a Skill: the most relevant form of learning for our dogs designed to follow scent: with our skills of clean communication they become super learners. 3 Jun – 8 Jul
➤ Reward Technology: an understanding of the technology that underpins the Reward and Reinforcement process is key to maintaining the dog’s desire and pleasure in their learning. 22 Jul – 12 Aug
➤ Shaping for Confidence: developing Micro-shaping© Skills; beginning with sufficient guidance for initial success then fading the guidance to self-teaching learning. 26 Aug – 16 Sep
➤ Chains and Sequences: Planning, teaching and maintaining a chain or sequence of several behaviours that occur in succession or simultaneously. 30 Sep – Nov 4

This course suitable for:
Anyone seeking to improve their own skills for the benefit of their dog. From beginners to advanced trainers we all learn from each other’s learning.
Lessons include a range of practical activities to learn with regular feedback on your progress. This is through videos you upload (maximum of 6 minutes total in 3 sessions per week) and progress reports.
If you are enthusiastic about learning, developing and building your relationship, connection and skills then you will be very welcome.

Format of the Course
✦ Practical Activities: selected to develop the skills with an option to work on individual progress and the elements requiring our attention. We will look at a range of rewards, cues and behaviours of your choice.
✦ Weekly Live Sessions: recorded held on Wednesday at 8pm UK (1900 GMT/UTC), for discussions, focus on specific topics and your questions.
✦ Individual Feedback: share your video link for individual feedback, up to 6 minutes per week.
✦ Course Material: available for 6 weeks after the course.
✦ Participants only: no auditors or spectators.
✦ Attendance Certificates: available for active participants: joining the live sessions, questions, contribution to forum discussions etc.
